The third of the 3D Grand Theft Auto games. First Liberty City, then Vice City, and finally San Andreas. After the exploits of Claude and Tommy, you play Carl Johnson. This brand new game expands well beyond the scope of the previous two games, with more of everything. Almost everything that was asked for by fans was included in the game, even things that are utterly ridiculous and would be better off not being there. San Andreas, unlike GTA3 and Vice City, is not just a single city. This game features three cities; Los Santos, San Fierro and Las Venturas. Based off three real cities; Los Angeles, San Francisco and Las Vegas, you get to explore all three and the countryside in between. With around twice the number of vehicles of Vice City, there's much more choice for getting around. Over-hyped and massively talked about, San Andreas finally (legally) reached the hands of gamers in North America on the 26th of October 2004, and their European counterparts on the 29th. I'm not here to give you a review of the game, that's near the end. After completing a guide for Vice City, I have decided to again make a guide for the series, this time, quite obviously, for San Andreas. I also made a series of maps to cover the locations of many things in Vice City, most of which were only available on my website, I have once again made several maps in order to help out. I have maps for Tags, Snapshots, Horseshoes, Oysters and Unique Stunts, all of which are currently available on my website, with the Tags map being the only one on GameFAQs due to the fact that it is the only one which is finished to the standard that I want them to be at. The others should be completed as I go through the guide. ___________________ _________________________________________________________| | |_________________________________________________________| 2 - Walkthrough | |___________________| __________________ /| |\ ====| Initial Missions |=================== \|__________________|/ ----------- | The Start | ----------- After the initial set of cutscenes, you are thrown out of the police car and into an alleyway, Ballas territory. There's very little to do in this 'mission' besides getting back to Carl Johnsons house in Grove Street. The game suggests that you use the nearby BMX, you have no choice in the matter, don't you just love these free-roaming games? Right now you're in Jefferson, you want to be in Ganton. South along the road with the train track running through the middle. Then, as it gets to the end, head east then south at the first turn. All the way along here until you get over a bridge, here go to the east and you should find yourself in Carl's street. Tis the big CJ on the mini-map. Off your bike and into the red. -------------------------- | Big Smoke, Sweet & Kendl | -------------------------- Another cutscene will play out, and then it's off from the cemetery back to your house again. The Ballas destroy the car that took you there, so it's back on a bike again. Follow Sweet and the others as they cycle off, watch out for the Ballas in their Voodoo as it will come back and shoot at you as you pedal. When you reach the underneath of the Mulholland Intersection, it's time to split up, except that it's not and you have to follow Ryder now. There's nothing to worry about now, so just follow and as you reach Grove Street ride into the red circle. ----------------------------------------- | Reward | Respect + | | | You can now save in CJ's house | ----------------------------------------- When you go inside your house, the game will inform you about how to save and that the game's time will advance by six hours upon saving. Essential stuff. Save your game, explore the house if you want and when all that's done head outside for the next mission. A message will appear onscreen informing you to go see Ryder, the R on your map. However, you are now free to do whatever you want now, well, almost, there are a few restrictions as to what you can currently do in San Andreas, leaving Los Santos is one of them, though this rule can be bended, you'll just get a 4 Star police force after you, and an extremely vicious set at that. Also, as you walk off a short way, your phone will start to ring, press L1 to answer it and talk to Sweet. ------- | Ryder | ------- You're introduced to Ryder officially now and the missions here is to go sort out some pizza place. First things first though, get into Ryder's Picador and drive over there. It's not far from where you are, just down the street, third left and you'll be in the right street for it. Into the red marker. Widely publicised, here you will go into Old Reece's and get a haircut. If you've just been playing the story so far, you'll have $350 so there's only two hairstyles you won't be able to get, choose whatever one you want and remember that you only pay after the hair has been cut and confirmed as what you want. When you've got the haricut, cancel the menu and you'll be taken outside. Another basic element of the gameplay now, eating. It replenishes your health as well as providing sustinance for you to survive even if you have full health. Go into the Well Stacked Pizza place via the floating yellow cone out front. Inside, walk into the red marker and buy any meal you want. The more expensive the more filling and fattening, except the salad of course. Anyone will do. Once you've eaten, exit the menu. Ryder will try to raid the place now, but the clerk will pull out a shotgun, thereby forcing you to leave. Get back into Ryder's car and drive on back to Grove Street, watch out as you'll get attacked by the shotgun wielding clerk. Drive into the red marker to complete. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- ______________________ /| |\ ====| Sean "Sweet" Johnson |=================== \|______________________|/ --------------------- | Tagging up the Turf | --------------------- At the end of the previous mission you are told to go see Sweet, go over to the red marker outside his house. You'll be given a spray-paint can with unlimited ammo. Get into Sweet's car and drive over to Idlewood which is handily pointed out on the minimap by way of a yellow square for you to aim towards. The red marker will stop you next to a rival gang's tag on the wall which Sweet will promptly spray over. Just across the street is a second one which you will need to spray over now, target with R1 and hold Circle 'till it's covered over completely and you get a message saying: 'TAGS SPRAYED 2 OUT OF 100', tags here replace Hidden Packages of the old game, but just for Los Santos, there are other 'replacements' in the other cities, so all 100 tags are to be found in Los Santos. Climb over the fence here and over the back wall into the alleyway where the third tag is located. Once again spray over it until you get the message confirming it. Go back to Sweet now and get into his car again. Ballas territory now, it's found just to the north-east of CJ's house, the yellow dot will show you where to head for. Stop in the red again. Spray the tag on the red building with the painting on, then go off to the left and down an alley to find the fifth of the tags. Here you'll need to attack some Ballas, aim the spraycan at their faces and they'll start choking, spray the tag as they do this, just make sure not to attract any police attention here as graffiti is illegal you know. Once done, head over to the yellow 'blip'. Climb over the fence and a second, then up onto the wall on your left and then up to the roof. The final tag of this mission is located up there on a wall, spray it. A cutscene will play, nothing important, but jump down and get into Sweet's car. Back to Grove Street you go. For more info on getting all 100 tags, scroll down to the corresponding section below the walkthrough. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | | | $200 | | | Spray Can | -------------------- I highly reccommend doing several side tasks at the moment to give you an advantage throughout the rest of the missions. The best things to do right now are: Paramedic R3, Fire Truck R3, Pimping R3 and Tags. Each of those will give you some sort of helpful boost to your gameplay. Scroll down to the corresponding sections below the walkthrough to find out more. While you could do vigilante right now, there's very little point as armour is scarce for quite a while and therefore having extra strong armour isn't so much of an advantage. Officer Hernandez will call you shortly and will warn you about leaving town, CJ doesn't seem to like this guy much. The only mission you can do at the moment is Sweet's. ------------------- | Cleaning the Hood | ------------------- Off with Ryder again. Climb aboard the nearby car if it's there, or wander out into the street and jack a car to take you to where you want to be, it's not far really. Go into the red marker and another cutscene will play. Pretty wasted trip eh? Back into the car and go to the red blip on your map. Attack the Crack Dealer using your fists and kill him. Grab the bat and back into the car, just a short trip down the street though. Go inside the crack den, bat equipped and kill everyone in there. There are three of them, all also carrying baseball bats, Ryder is of little use in here really. Head out and back to Grove Street. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- You should be getting used to that tune by now. Again, all you can do is a mission for Sweet, same place as usual. ------------ | Drive-Thru | ------------ It seems that Big Smoke is a big hungry, and he wants some chicken too. And again it's you driving. Not far, just off to Cluckin' Bell. Big Smoke will order a lot of food, shortly after this you'll notice some Ballas heading towards the 'hood, drive after them and Sweet and Ryder will shoot at the Voodoo. This bit is really not very tricky, stay close to the Voodoo as they shoot at it, knocking into it in order to slow it down and just keep doing this until flames start appearing in their car, they'll now either all die in the explosion or you'll have to run over the ones that get away. And back to Sweet's house again. It's not quite all over yet as you'll need to take Smoke back to his place, it's not far so shouldn't take too long. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | | | $200 | -------------------- As soon as you get out of the car, Sweet will call you and inform you about working out at a gym nearby. Here you can build up your muscle and learn new moves for CJ to use in melee combat. Head down there if you're interested in that, but otherwise off to do another of Sweet's missions. ---------------- | Nines and AK's | ---------------- The usual intro cutscene will ensue, this one informing you of Emmet and his gun supplying business. Get into the car and head over to Emmet's place. As you arrive another cutscene will play out. Here you'll be doing a few target practice. Lock on to the bottle and shoot it. Then three in a row and finally five with some crouching. Then it's time to blow up the nearby car, it's locked by the way, shoot the gas tank at the back for instant explosion. And you're back in your car. Take Smoke home again. Phone call! Sweet tells you to go get some colours, ie green. Go to Binco and buy yourself some green clothes. It doens't have to be all green, just the one item will do. Go for a full outfit change if you want, it's all good, except the watches. Head out once you're done. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- This also opens up Big Smoke as a 'boss', but for the purposes of this walkthrough I'm going to continue on with Sweet, you can go do Big Smoke's missions now if you want to, just skip on down to him. ---------- | Drive-by | ---------- Get into the car and drive over to the Ballas Territory marked by the yellow blip again. After arriving, to help out you should run over the Ballas instead of just driving past them, much more effective and much less dangerous. Repeat for the next three sets of Ballas, there's really no challenge here if you can keep your car in a good enough state of health. As soon as you kill the last of the Ballas in the park, you'll be awarded with a two star wanted level. Drive over to the Pay'n'Spray as marked by the yellow blip to get rid of it. Once done, head back to Grove Street again. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | | | $500 | -------------------- Also, an R will appear on your map, Ryder is now ready to give you some missions, however once again I'll be carrying on with Sweet for now. -------------- | Sweet's Girl | -------------- Reasonably difficult mission this time. A cutscene will play and end with Sweet calling you from Seville wanting a lift and a saving from the Seville Boulevard. Head to Emmet's first if you want a small amount of ammo for your pistol, he's not very useful really. Then off to the red blip where Sweet is waiting for you. As you approach, hide behind the walls by crouching and shooting the gang members as you get closer to the steps at the south end of the street. Make sure to be on the opposite side in order to get the guy sitting on the steps directly, as otherwise he gets the advantage and will kill you. Answer your phone and get into any nearby car then into the red marker. Sweet and his girl will run down and get into the car with you, but as they do, three cars will suddenly race into view. Evade them as you try to get back to Grove Street again. Sweet will help you out by shooting at them, but it's mostly just a case of keep-away. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- ----------------- | Cesar Vialpando | ----------------- Sweet tells you to go follow Kendl to a car club in Willowfield. Follow the blip. Some guy will give you a bouncy car and tells you to go to Unity Station, as well as telling you to come back and mod your car anytime you want. Back into the garage and mod anything you want, you don't actually need to do anything to it really though. Follow the new blip and drive into the red marker. Place a wager however high you like and get ready for a very easy mini-game. All you need to do is push the right analogu stick in the direction shown at the exact moment it reaches the centre of the circle at the bottom of the screen. Easy. Your opposition will get around 1000 points. After beating them, Kendl will run up and introduce you to Cesar. --------------------------------- | Reward | Double what you staked | --------------------------------- Cesar will shortly phone you up to tell you about an illegal street race using lowriders. And so ends this set of Sweet's missions. Next up is that very street race Cesar just phoned you about. _________________ /| |\ ====| Cesar Vialpando |=================== \|_________________|/ ------------------------ | High Stakes, Low-rider | ------------------------ There are probably better lowriders to use in this race, but the one you were given is good enough really, if you would prefer though, take the Blade that is located near Cesar's house as it's just that bit quicker and doens't have hydraulics. Follow Cesar as he drives off, this isn't the challenge of the mission and it's not very far. Drive into the red marker and the race will start very quickly. The race itself is quite challenging, but if you can get ahead quickly and have mastered driving it should be very easy. The last leg of the race is down a pier so when you get there, make sure not to be behind anyone as the chances of success are slim. ---------------- | Reward | $1000 | ---------------- And that's Cesar done for now. Ryder is next on the agenda for completion. Back to Grove Street with you. ______________________ /| |\ ====| Lance "Ryder" Wilson |=================== \|______________________|/ --------------- | Home Invasion | --------------- The usual cutscene ensues, and night rolls in in order to get the mission going. Drive the Boxville over to the house marked by the yellow blip, it's in the East Beach area of Los Santos. Park up and go in the front door. The mission will introduce you to the basics of house robbing. Just to your left is the first crate of guns, creep over to it and press Triangle, then creep out again and put it in the van. Back in again and head into the room on the right, go through the door to get in, grab the crate in the far right corner. Out and in again. Head up the stairs this time and grab the crate right at the top, and take it out again. Now either leave with just these three, or head back in for more if you're feeling daring. If so, the next crate is right at the end of the upstairs corridor. Grab it and out. The fifth and sixth ones are inside the room at the end of that same corridor, the man is asleep in here too. Once you're ready to go, drive to the lockup as marked on your map to complete. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- There really wasn't any actual point to cleaning him out entirely, it's just good practice for real robberies which you can now perform between 22:00 and 06:00 using the Boxville van found parked across from the gym. ---------- | Catalyst | ---------- Just another cutscene introduces you to the mission again. Head off to the train as mentioned and get ready for a fight. Drive in on the righthand side and run over as many of them as you can get before getting out to shoot them. Once you've gotten those few out of the way with a bit of gunfire, along come some Ballas. Crouch down and shoot them as they appear in your line of targetting. Once they're dead go into the red marker. This bit requires you to throw some boxes to Ryder in the car. Aim directly at Ryder and hold down Circle until you think you have enough power to get it to the moving car, you won't need much most of the time. After a while the boxes upon hitting the floor will start to explode, thus making misses more dangerous. Get Ryder to catch all ten required and you'll get off the train. With a three star wanted level, it's time to get off to the Pay'n'Spray as marked, then it's back to Grove Street for completion. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- That mission didn't unlock anything new to do really, so just turn around and head back into the Ryder marker. ------------------- | Robbing Uncle Sam | ------------------- This one is genuinely difficult compared to all your previous missions. Climb aboard the Mule and drive down to Ocean Docks. Once you reach there, get out of the van and walk over to the front gate. Make sure that your gun is in manual aim mode and then move it so it's aiming right at the guard's head. Kill him then climb over the wall and kill a second guard there, then shoot the switch to open up the gates. There's a guy hiding behind some crates near to where Ryder parks up, make sure to take him out fast as otherwise he's gonna shoot you. Another switch to shoot out now. Kill the two guards inside and get into the forklift. Turn around and head outside and pick up the two crates that soldier previously was hiding behind. It's best to do them one by one though. After each drop off, get out and shoot any guards nearby then go get another crate. There are also four more inside which will also need to be put into the van. Once all six are in, get out of your forklift and into the front of the van. Drive all the way to Emmet's place in Willowfield in order to drop off the stuff. You can also get Ryder to throw stuff at the Patriots chasing after you in case you need to, though you really won't need to as they drive very erratically. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- That's all from Ryder now, next up, Big Smoke. ___________________________ /| |\ ====| Melvin "Big Smoke" Harris |=================== \|___________________________|/ Head on over to Big Smoke's house in order to start up his missions. -------- | OG Loc | -------- Time to go get Jeffrey now. Drive Smoke's Glendale over to the police station in Pershing Square. Jeffrey will eventually get in the car and tell you to drive to Freddy's house. Then up the stairs and into the red marker. Freddy will take off on a bike and you'll need to follow and kill Freddy. This is a reasonably long chase with plenty of twists and turns, try to keep up with Freddy until he gets off on some steps near a basketball court, as he does, shoot him and the others there down. Now all you gotta do is take OG to his job at a Burger Shot in Marina. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- This opens up OG Loc as a mission giver, however as per usual, this guide will continue on with Big Smoke for now and get to OG Loc later. ------------- | Running Dog | ------------- Time to go get Big Smoke's cousin who is to be found in East Los Santos. As you arrive you'll then be sent to chase after a gang member. If you've been working out and have a decent enough stamina, this chase should be over real soon, as soon as you get close either shoot him or just punch and kick him till he's dead, a simple headshot will suffice. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- -------------------------- | Wrong Side of the Tracks | -------------------------- It's off to Unity Station again, a short drive from Smoke's. As you arrive the gang members will take off on top of a train. Get onto the nearby Sanchez and chase after the train with Smoke aboard shooting at them. Don't go too close to the front of the train as shortly it'll be exploding a car in it's path, however keep far enough in front in order to let Smoke shoot. As you reach a tunnel, another train in the opposite direction will appear, avoid it and keep up close to the Vagos, make sure to let Smoke shoot them. If you don't manage to kill them all in this tunnel, then as you come out, keep on the tracks and just ignore Smoke as he tells you to go on the high road but watch out for another train coming right for you, you should now be able to take out the last of those Vagos if you can gain enough speed to keep with the train. Once they're all dead, head back to Smoke's house. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- --------------- | Just Business | --------------- Time to go Downtown. Drive into the marker and get ready to fight! Stay crouched and shoot all the people that you can lock onto before walking out still crouched and shoot anyone else left in the room, except Smoke of course. Head over to Smoke once the room is clear and wipe out the russians out here too. After they're all dead, Smoke will take you on a bike ride, you're doing the shooting this time, unlimited ammo. Shoot the bike following and as the big Packer arrives shoot that too if you have already taken out the motorbike, when a second bike arrives, go for that one too. Smoke will stop and give you time to shoot some roadblocks but then decide to go a different way, Flood control. Go for the bikes with people that are shooting on. As new bikes and cars arrive, shoot them and try to take out the drivers too as they will also shoot you. Eventually as you reach a tunnel you'll have to shoot out a gate, then a load of bikes will follow you through here too, as you go past them, shoot the red barrels to kill all the bikes in one swoop. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- And that mission was the last of Big Smoke's, time to go over to OG Loc and see what he wants. __________________________ /| |\ ====| Jeffrey "O.G. Loc" Cross |=================== \|__________________________|/ The big OG on your map denotes where he's at, it's the Burger Shot where you last saw him. ---------------- | Life's a Beach | ---------------- Unfortuantely there's a time requirement for this mission, be there between 22:00 and 06:00 in order to do this. OG sends you off to get him a sound system, go down to the beach party and talk to the DJ, answer positively twice and you'll start the second button pressing game of the game. This time it's with the X, Circle, Square and Triangle buttons though. Press them at the instant they get into the centre of the circle for better points. You need to score 4000 total in order to pass. Once you pass, answer positively again and get into the van, drive off pushing out the DJ at the same time. Make your way to a garage of OG's. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- More OG Loc missions still to do! -------------------- | Madd Dogg's Rhymes | -------------------- Make your way to Madd Dogg's place above the Vinewood sign. Go in through the main door round back. It's stealth all the way to the Rhyme Book. Crouch and kill the first guard here. The next guard is in a very dark room, so once again, creep up behind him, crouch and stealth kill him with the knife. Through the next door and then into either of the two smaller rooms in there to hide from the next guard. Crouch and kill him like the others. Carry on through the building, crouch past the bar and another guard, playing a video game. Go past him and through into a dark room with some armour if you want it. Then go stealth kill the guard outside, make sure to go round the back of him so he doesn't notice you. Into the room next to him and pick up the floating spinning Rhyme Book. Now you are able to use guns if you want. Head back through the fully dark room and stealth kill that guard, pick up his silenced 9mm if you want. Work your way back through the mansion, knock off all of them. If any spot you, run into some shadows to evade them and take a head shot. The guard in the swimming pool room is the last one, head out the door you came in again. Now head back to OG Loc at the Burger Shot again. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- It tells you about using stealth outside missions, but it's really not something that you'll use very often at all, unless you play that way of course. Shortly after completion, you'll get a phonecall from Officer Tenpenny, this will open up C.R.A.S.H. for missions, though we'll be doing the OG Loc missions still. Skip on down if you want to do those right now. ------------------- | Management Issues | ------------------- Drive over to the Burger Shot that the driver is at, crash into his car to make him get out of it quickly. Then simply get in and take it to the Pay'n'Spray at the Transfender nearby. Drive over to where the other two drivers are waiting and pull up in the middle of them. Now drive over with the other two to the awards ceremony. When Madd Dogg's manager gets into the car, drive over to the pier marked on the map, go as fast as you can and bail at the last possible moment before the car plunges into the ocean. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- ------------- | House Party | ------------- Go to OG Loc's Burger Shot location to initiate it, but the actual mission won't start until you get back to Grove Street and step into another boss marker. The requirements are to be there between 20:00 and 05:00, to get some new threads and a new haircut. There's a barber right across the street from the Burger Shot so get a haircut there and then go to Binco near CJ's house to get some new clothes. When you finally do go to OG Loc's house the mission really starts. Immediately crouch down and take the UZI in front of you, or just use your own, and then shoot all the Ballas standing around, move around to get a better shot at them if needs be. Once you've wiped those few out, the action will turn to the bridge above which holds four Ballas. They should die fast. Run to cover the alleyway as mentioned and kill the four Ballas there, then turn to help the others before turning again to the left to get a pair of Ballas. If there are any left, shoot the Ballas in the alley that the other guys were covering. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- And, that's all from OG Loc. Time to go over to the big C and do some CRASH missions. ____________ /| |\ ====| C.R.A.S.H. |=================== \|____________|/ C.R.A.S.H., Community Resources Against Street Hoodlums, it represents the missions set by Officer Frank Tenpenny, Officer Eddie Pulaski and Officer Hernandez as you might expect. Right now, their missions start from the donut shop, Jim's Sticky Ring, in the Market area of Los Santos. ---------------- | Burning Desire | ---------------- I highly suggest that you complete the Fire Truck R3 missions before doing this mission as it involves a lot of fire. Anyway, after the introduction, head off to said alleyway in Downtown and pick up the Molotovs. Then off to the gang house of course, remember to read the info about throwing the coctails just in case. When you get there, throw one in one of the windows and then switch to any gun and take care of any gang members around as they are deadly. Repeat for each of the five windows in order to stay alive. You've trapped a girl inside. Head through the door with the usual yellow marker in front of it. When inside, go forwards and into the kitchen at the far end on the right, pick up a fire extinguiser there. Then, head up the stairs over to the south-west side of the house. Now just go over to where the girl is waiting, put out the fire in front of her doorway. Now, make your way back to the stairs via rooms as the main hallway is now blocked off. Put out the fires as you get to them as the girl isn't fireproof you know. Aim for the base of the fires to put them out. The extinguiser is currently unlimited so don't worry about that, and there's no time limit at the moment either. It's really simple if you're fireproof, sligtly harder if you're not as you'll have to make sure you don't get caught on fire. Exit when you can. Get in the Voodoo with the girl and take her home to a place near CJ's. Drop her off and it's complete. ----------------- | Reward | Denise | ----------------- Denise Robinson is now available to be your girlfriend. Take her out on dates in order to get your progress with her to 100%, this is not required for getting 100% in the actual game though, it's just that you get a reward for doing so, Denise's reward for 100% is a Pimp Suit, not needed to do pimping though. Shortly after this mission is completed, Sweet will phone you up and tell you about some punk-ass base-head fool and that you'll need to do something over in Glen Park, which will require you to buy some serious guns, Ammu-Nation is now open for business. This is a Sweet mission, but as per usual, I'm going to finish up the CRASH missions first. However, in case you feel like doing the Sweet mission, it's to be found outside Ammu-Nation Downtown. I would reccommend doing the Sweet mission first in order to open up Ammu-Nation to let you buy some nice guns and armour for the next CRASH mission. -------------- | Gray Imports | -------------- Back to the Donut Shop for another CRASH mission again. Head over to the Docks in Ocean Docks to where the Ballas and Russians are making a deal. You'll need to find a way inside, noteably the front door. Drive in and run over the two guards out front, get out and shoot anyone else left there, also jack the couple of forklifts so they don't run you over. When all is dead, shoot the switch on the front door. Grab the nearby armour if you need it. I highly reccommend taking their guns as SMGs are better then Micro SMGs. Right inside the door are three guards, shoot 'em all before they can shoot you and then creep round the corner where another guard is waiting. Off round the next corner, and just behind some crates is another guard, shoot him as he rolls out, grab the health where he was hiding if you need it. There are another couple of guards just to the left of him to take out and two more to the left of those, some more armour here too. Round the corner again and you'll come across a whole load of guards in a large area, shoot them as you can and move forwards to shoot some more. When it's all clear and you've taken out all the guards, even the ones hiding behind things, head up the stairs and straight into the room, shoot a lot as you go in. As the red guy runs off follow him, but then be ready to shoot a lot of people outside again, follow him as much as possible taking out all the people shooting at you as you go. You will get a message saying he's got in a car, grab the nearby motorbike and chase after him. He'll drive into the storm drain so chase after him and as you approach from behind, simply shoot at him till he explodes. --------------- | Reward | None | --------------- That's all from the CRASH guys for now. Time for Sweet's missions again. _______________________________ /| |\ ====| Sean "Sweet" Johnson - Part 2 |=================== \|_______________________________|/ ---------- | Doberman | ---------- Start this at the Ammu-Nation in Downtown. It will open up Ammu-Nation for you to buy guns, tell you about Glen Park and inform you about starting a gang war. If you look on your inventory map, Glen Park is now purple with a green man in the middle. Head there once you've got enough ammunition for a reasonably tough battle. SMGs are probably the best to use at the moment since there aren't any Ak-47s or M4s for sale. Head to the centre of the territory and look for a group of three or more Ballas. Kill them. This should start a gang war. The area will flash red and after a short while some purple dots will appear, these are the first wave. Kill all marked Ballas and you'll pass the first wave. At the edges of the territory are health and armour icons if you need them, but at the moment all the Ballas carry are baseball bats. On the second wave, however, they carry 9mm so watch out for that, same situation though kill them all to advance to the next wave. On the third and final wave, they'll be carrying Micro SMGs, once again watch out and shoot them before they shoot you. Once you kill all in the third wave, the hood becomes yours and turns green. The game will inform you about enemy gang attacks and that you'll need to protect your place if needs be. Run over and shoot the grass to complete. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- You now also have the ability to take over gang territories for yourself. Sweet's icon appears back on the map, this time in Grove Street. --------------- | Los Sepulcros | --------------- This mission is time controlled, be there between 09:00 and 17:00 to access it. It's time to take care of some Ballas at a funeral for Little Weasel. Target the two gang members and press up or down to get them to join you, then into the Greenwood. Drive over to the cemetery and park up in the red marker. Climb over the wall and walk up to Sweet. When you get back in action, crouch down and approach where Kane is marked by the red blip. Get your gang to follow you and help you out. As you go watch out for Ballas all around, your gang members are pretty useless here, but they do help a little. When you can, shoot at Kane until he's dead, then concentrate on wiping out any last remaining Ballas before running over to Sweet in the car. Time to drive back to the Grove. There aren't any Ballas after you and unless you gained a wanted level inside the cemetery there aren't any cops either. Simple either way. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- ------------------------ | Reuniting the Families | ------------------------ Time to reunite the families, head down to Jefferson Motel and stop in the red marker. Sweet will go in and all hell will break loose with the Los Santos police arriving, or was that Los Angeles? Cj will get out, so get ready quickly, shoot a couple of te SWAT before going into the motel next to you. Go straight up the stairs and through into the corridor. Head in and around the corner shooting the SWAT as they turn up, wait at the end of the corridor for some more to come out of a room, shoot them fast. The room on the left has someone in who will help heal you one time. Head down the end and shoot the SWAT as they descend from the ceiling, then turn your attention to the corridor on the right where there are more SWAT. As you go down this corridor, another girl will run past who can help heal you as long as you don't kill her first. At the end is a room full of SWAT to take care of. Go down that corridor next and kill the SWAT as they roll out of rooms at you. Sweet is located in the last room on the right. As you gain control again, go to manual aiming and shoot blindly at the chopper and the SWAT units on it. Once it's down, follow Sweet down the stairs and into the car with Smoke and Ryder. Time for you to do some shooting. Shoot the three police cars as they chase after you, make sure not to destroy them if they're too close to you. Keep shooting the cars as they appear, most will explode quickly so once again try not to destroy cars that are right next to you. Once the motorbikes arrive, shoot them, and as one of them jumps onto your car, shoot him in the head to knock him off. Continue shooting cars and bikes as they arrive, make sure not to let the next guy hit you too much before knocking him off your car. Once your clip runs out there's nothing more you can do but watch. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- Back to Grove Street for one last mission in Los Santos. I highly recommend finishing off any Los Santos side-missions before doing this mission as you probably won't be back for quite a while now. A few such things like Denise and gang turf will be completely unavailable after this mission for quite a long time while most of the rest can be done but it just will be slightly more difficult. Here's a full list of things to do in Los Santos before the next mission: Grafiti Tags Some Oysters Courier - Roboi's Food Mart BMX Challenge Ammu-Nation Gun Challenge 8-Track Vigilante Ambulance Fire Truck Pimping Taxi Once you've done all that, or done all you want to, go to the red marker outside Sweet's house to start up this next mission. ----------------- | The Green Sabre | ----------------- It's time to clear up the 'hood, but before you can get to the fight, Cesar calls you up and it's off to meet him under the freeway in Verdant Bluffs. Nothing complicated as of yet, just grab a nearby car and drive over there, get into the Bravura as marked. Cesar arrives and shows you something important. Some Ballas emerge from a building, shortly followed by Ryder and Big Smoke, then the Green Sabre which was used to kill CJ's mother. CRASH are there too. Off to save Sweet now. Get back into the Bravura (or if you came in a faster car, use that) and head to the Mulholland Intersection where Sweet is being ambushed. Get over there and into the red marker before Sweet's health is all gone. Once there, shoot all the Ballas you can see, they're all south of you at the moment so that shouldn't be too difficult, just make sure not to hit the cars you're using as protection. Shortly several more cars and vans full of Ballas will start arriving, as each one appears make sure to wipe them all out, throwing a grenade or molotov at the cars as they stop. Once you've gotten rid of the last lot, the police will arrive. No escape. Tenpenny informs you that Sweet is inside but alive, they've also taken you to Angel Pine and want you to do them a little favour. Pulaski gives you a camera and sends you on your way. You've lost all your weapons by the way, nothing but an unlimited camera. ------------------ | Reward | Nothing | ------------------ Well, not strictly nothing, you now have access to the whole of San Fierro now as well as the surrounding badlands, plus Los Santos of course. You can now save where the C on the radar is and while you're not currently on a mission, you can go explore the countryside, even that mountain of legend, Mount Chiliad. While you've got no weapons, you can go buy some from the nearby Ammu-Nation to stock up ready for the next mission. _____________________ /| |\ ====| C.R.A.S.H. - Part 2 |=================== \|_____________________|/ ---------- | Badlands | ---------- There's no introduction cutscene, you know what to do already, it's just that you can now go do that. The game informs you how to use the camera you were given and gives you a marker on the radar. Head over to said yellow marker and then up to the next one which is up the side of Mount Chiliad. As you get close to the cabin, the game will stop you and inform you of what to do, ie smoke him out and avoid the feds as well as making sure to get a photo of him in one piece. Get closer and drive in close enough to take out the first few feds out the front before grenading the car waiting by the side, hopefully you should get the snitch at the same time, if not run up to him and shoot him till he's dead. Watch out for other feds around but take a quick photo of the corpse, jump aboard the nearby Sanchez and head on back to where you started the mission. ------------------ | Reward | Nothing | ------------------ Nothing more then a Mission Passed! sign flashes up and it's done. You should shortly get a call from Cesar who will tell you about a cousin of his who you need to go meet in Dillimore. Tis quite the journey from Angel Pines to Dillimore, go explore the rest of the unlocked world if you so desire, including the city of San Fierro, but for continuity purposes it's best if you steer clear, though of course this doesn't really matter, it's all up to you. It is a free roaming game after all. You'll also get a call from Sweet sometime soon nothing important really though. __________ /| |\ ====| Catalina |=================== \|__________|/ ------------ | First Date | ------------ Not really a mission, more of an introduction, though there are things to be done. Go to the place marked with the ? to meet Cesar's cousin Catalina. Now get on a nearby bike/car and drive over to any one of the four $ signs on the map. I'll go through them in no particular order, you can do them whichever way around you want, they're each a different mission by the way. ------------------ | Tanker Commander | ------------------ This one is the Gas Station in Dillimore, the closest to where you start First Date. Catalina quickly aims the gun at the attendant and changes plans quickly. Get into the cab and pick up the tanker bit next to it by reversing into it. Get out of the tanker and shoot the crazy Sabre that's trying to kill you in order to make the rest of the mission simple. Once you've taken care of it via shotgun or other suitable weapon, hop back in and drive off to the destination free of worry, unless you picked up a wanted level of course, though that should wear off quickly unless you went a bit crazy yourself. The only way to fail the mission from then on is to either accidently disconnect the cab from the trailer or just plain destroy the whole thing. ---------------------------- | Reward | $5000 | | | Trucking Missions | ---------------------------- Mr Whittaker will take the tanker off your hands, give you $5000 cash and will now allow you to do trucking missions for extra cash, though currently all the trucking missions aren't unlocked just yet, only the first few are. You'll shortly get a call from The Truth and will inform you to meet him in his room in Angel Pine. He's marked as the TT on the map just in case you were wondering. Catalina isn't available right now, so it's onto that mission. Non- linear huh? ___________ /| |\ ====| The Truth |=================== \|___________|/ -------------- | Body Harvest | -------------- Hmm... interesting mission name. Anyway, The Truth is introduced to you by Tenpenny. The Truth wants you to go get him a nice new harvester that he is in need of. Head off towards the marker and head off down the road straight past the survivalists. On a bike this is simple, though a car will take too much damage. Head down the dirt path and into the large field, go over to the Combine Harvester, get in as the guy gets out and drive it back out the way you came in, make sure to run over the people in your way as you go. Once back onto the road, simply make your way over to The Truth's farm as shown on the radar, I would recommend getting out and shooting that eejit on the Walton with the shotgun as it can cause a lot of damage to your harvester. It's not far to the farm so don't worry too much about any of the other vehicles chasing you. Another phone call from Cesar, nothing to do with anything though, apart from the fact that he and Kendl will be going to Angel Pine and renting a trailer. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- And as if by magic, CV appears on the map in the exact same place where you went to start that CRASH mission in Angel Pine. Head on over there. __________________________ /| |\ ====| Cesar Vialpando - Part 2 |=================== \|__________________________|/ --------------- | King in Exile | --------------- Another non-mission cutscene. Basically to tell you about some yay couriers that travel around occasionally, nothing that is important. As soon as the cutscene finishes, Catalina will call you up. It wasn't a mission. Sheesh, no reward for doing nothing. Quite why the C on the map is reddish I don't know, perhaps it's something to do with her being considered your girlfriend. Head over there anyway. ------------ | First Base | ------------ Why oh why? It's another cutscene with no mission attached. Go to a second of the $ signs on the map to start a proper mission. -------------------- | Local Liquor Store | -------------------- This one is the Liquor Store in Blueberry. Once you arrive, four other people of Quad Bikes will arrive and rob the store before you. As soon as you gain control again, drive on after the three remaining drivers. Don't leave all the shooting to Catalina, take out the riders too. No need to get off the quad bike when they die, just ride over what they drop instead to go faster. There's really little to say here apart from chase them down and shoot as you go, making sure not to lose them and to pick up the cash. String it out far enough and you'll go over a Unique Stunt which will net you $500, though in this game they aren't needed for 100%. Once you've killed and collected all three head on back to the cabin to complete. ---------------- | Reward | $1000 | ---------------- As soon as you get off the quadbike, Cesar will call up and open up a racing mission for you to take part in. Finally some variety in choice, it's been too long being linear, though of course this is little reasoning as you'll have to do them both anyway, linear or not it sure doesn't help in the long run. --------------- | Gone Courting | --------------- Poor Carl. Just a simple cutscene with voice acting really. ------------------ | Against All Odds | ------------------ Head down to Montgomery for this little one and park up outside the betting shop. Where the hell did she get those satchel charges? Just round the side of the betting shop, sheesh. Go on in though and throw a satchel onto the door as directed, then blow it up using the remote. Repeat with the safe inside to get the money. Four stars, reasonably tough I'd say. Head over to the Pay'n'Spray as shown on the map in Dillimore to lose the wanted level completely. Nothing extreme here to do, just some usual basic stuff. ---------------- | Reward | $2000 | ---------------- Step into the red marker nearby and you'll immediately get a call unless you get there really quickly. Nothing important, just Catalina telling you to get to the same place as you already are. Step forward again after the marker reappears. ---------------- | Made in Heaven | ---------------- Pointless cutscene again. ----------------- | Small Town Bank | ----------------- This is probably the most difficult of Catalina's missions, but as with all the other missions in the game, it's not really all that difficult to complete. Drive down to Palamino Creek and you'll raid the bank automatically. You're given a near impossible task of keeping the people from setting off the alarm, when he eventually does, the police will surround the place. Smash the ATMs as Catalina says to do. As soon as you get all three, Catalina will burst open the backdoor. Shoot the two cops straight away, there's one on the roof. Then follow Catalina a short way before shooting some more. This bit is really simple, just duck and shoot as the cops appear making sure to keep up with Catalina. She'll eventually go ahead a short way and stop, go up to her and a couple of motorbike cops will arrive. Shoot them both. Now the slightly harder part. It's time to keep up with Catalina as she speeds off on the bike. Make sure not to kill her when she is rammed into by a couple of large Police Ranchers. Pick her up and head on home to Catalina's cabin. ----------------- | Reward | $10000 | ----------------- No more Catalina missions. Shame huh? Well it's time to go do that race that Cesar was on about. __________________________ /| |\ ====| Cesar Vialpando - Part 3 |=================== \|__________________________|/ ---------- | Wu Zi Mu | ---------- I highly recommend taking Catalina's Buffalo with you when you start this race. A thing to note of this mission is that in the background of the start cutscene you can see the one and only GTA3 guy. This is also the first time you meet 'Woozie'. A nice race here, easy for the most part as it's just countryside racing in a nice quick car if you picked up the Buffalo. The only parts to watch out for are over the first bridge and to make sure not to flip the car when going through the barn area which is really not needed to go through, just go round it. ---------------- | Reward | $5000 | ---------------- Right at the end of the race. The Panoptican. Just go a little ahead if you want to start the next race straight away, though you can go and save now if you so desire. ---------------------- | Farewell, My Love... | ---------------------- Same race, opposite direction. The cutscene shows Catalina and the GTA3 guy together. Still as silent as ever. There's very little new to do in this race, just practice if you're no good at it. You're given a ZR-350 for this race. ----------------- | Reward | Garage | ----------------- The garage is in San Fierro just in case you wanted to know. Shortly after getting out of the car, The Truth will call you up and invite you over. ____________________ /| |\ ====| The Truth - Part 2 |=================== \|____________________|/ ------------------------------ | Are You Going to San Fierro? | ------------------------------ The mission starts at The Truth's farm. This mission is much safer if you're fireproof by the way. Time to torch some weed. Don't kill The Truth while you're doing this though. All the dots on the radar need to be taken care of before the cops arrive in five and a half minutes. Once you've flamed all the weed, head on over to The Truth and his Mothership. The screen will be waving about a bit due to all the activity. Shoot down the chopper and run off towards the Mothership again. Drive on into San Fierro and stop off at the garage as marked on your radar. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- Cesar will phone you up and inform you more directly about the yay couriers. Every Monday and Friday the cash leaves Los Santos for San Fierro, and every Wednesday and Saturday a courier takes the yay back to Big Smoke in Los Santos. Cesar will call you up on the days as mentioned above and give you the option to try and intercept the courier going either way. These missions are entirely optional and have no percentage gain from completion. They are also completely useless and I would only suggest doing them if you're really really short on cash or just want to do everything this game has to offer. ------------------ | Big Smoke's Cash | ------------------ ------------- | Yay Courier | ------------- ___________________ /| |\ ====| Carl "CJ" Johnson |=================== \|___________________|/ --------------------------- | Wear Flowers in Your Hair | --------------------------- Walk on over to the red marker in front of your garage. It's time to recruit for your garage. Very simple drive around mission here. Slight nod towards Vice City here. Jump into the car and drive on over to meet Jethro at a garage in Easter Basin. He'll get in, time to head over to the hospital as The Truth wants. Whether there's any point to this or it's just a way of showing you where the hospital is I don't know really. Off to meet up with Dwaine. Off to the Police Station, again no real reason, but once you've watched the cutscene head over to meet up with Zero. Head on back to the garage to finish up. ------------------ | Reward | Nothing | ------------------ Shortly after this mission you will get a call from Zero which is a massive hint that you should go and buy his shop from his landlord. Don't worry too much about this at the moment though as it's just a side 'story' that is completely optional. You'll find out all about it in the Extra Missions section of this guide. ------------ | 555 We Tip | ------------ Tenpenny will call up and tell you to go put the weed you got into the car of his target, a DA. Head off to Vank Hoff Hotel in the Financial any old car at the moment will do, there's no car requirements for this mission. As you arrive, drive into the red marker and then follow the Valet into the carpark. Just don't bump him and you'll be fine, actually even if you do, you'll still be fine. As soon as you're in there, get in front of him with your car and pull him out of his, a simple shot to the head will help now. Walk into the floating blue shirt icon to get into the Valet outfit. Run outside to the front where the other valets are. The DA will arrive in a blue Merit eventually, the other valets will tell you when it's his car. As soon as he gets out of his car, run and get into it. Note, do not attempt to get in before he gets out, this will fail the mission. Drive it back to your garage in Doherty in order to get in fitted with the weed. Careful driving is NOT needed for this first part so get it there as fast as you can as the time limit will carry over to your return journey when you need to be careful. Any damage on the way back and you'll need to go all the way back to your garage again, though I would recommend just staying there to restart the mission if you have to go back as the time is not forgiving. Once you get back to the hotel, drive down into the carpark and park the car in the correct spot. Run out of the carpark and out front, note that killing the valet on the way out is not a good idea. ------------------------- | Reward | Valet Missions | ------------------------- The Valet missions are now open for you and you now also have the Valet uniform available to wear anytime you like from your wardrobe. Go to the Odd Jobs section for more info on the Valet missions. ---------------- | Deconstruction | ---------------- Kendl will walk in complaining for no reason and CJ will decide to go get rid of the construction workers from behind their garage. Head up onto the construction site and jump aboard either the bulldozer as shown or into the large wrecking crane. For the bullbozer all you need to do is clip the sides of the portables and they are destroyed, watch out for explosives though as they will kill you if you drive into them. Using the wrecking crane however, you won't be able to reach all of the portables very easily, thus I highly suggest using the bulldozer for at least the further away ones. The time limit is more there for purposes of making you complete it as it's not really very strict. Once the final portable is destroyed, head off to push the foreman into the hole by using your bulldozer. Then get into the nearby cement mixer and reverse to the hole where he is. I suggest taking care of the other bulldozer driver before doing this though, if you haven't already. ------------------ | Reward | Nothing | ------------------ Seriously, nothing at all. Outta the car and Jethro will call you about some driving lessons that he implores you to take. This isn't a nessacery part to the story though so don't worry if you can't do it. Head on down to the Schools section of the guide. ________ /| |\ ====| Triads |=================== \|________|/ ------------------- | Photo Opportunity | ------------------- For no apparent reason this is under the mission marker of the Triads, can't really see why. Cesar will call you up and tell you to pick him up wherever he is. He'll be down by Blueberry. Once you eventually get there, hop on into his car and try to avoid running him down as you arrive. Now, all the way to Angel Pine. Sheesh, talk about pointlessly long journeys and you have to do it in Cesar's car which you aren't allowed to destroy. Grr. Just hope you don't get a version with hydraulics. When you finally arrive, get up onto the roof sharpish and into that red marker. You'll be put into forced camera mode, as the targets arrive, zoom in on them so you can see their faces and take their photo. It will inform you if you've done it as CJ will say something. First Ryder, then T-Bone Mendez, followed by a mysterious stranger off to the far right and finally another will pull up in a Broadway. Act quickly as missing one fails this entire mission. Once all four are photographed, Cesar will drop you off at a petrol station nearby. -------------------- | Reward | Respect + | -------------------- The mission hints at the Snapshots in San Fierro telling you to use your camera to check it out. You could have done the Snapshots at any point after getting into Angel Pine, or even before that if you like the challenge. Scroll on down to the Snapshots section to get the lowdown on all 50 locations. Two of them are given by way of a mission, the other four you have to find yourself. Pick up the girls at a time when they are at home using a nice car as this ups your sex appeal, which helps you along with the dates. There are several types of gifts that you can give to your girlfriends such as some flowers or a dildo. ----------------- | Denise Robinson | ----------------- You meet this girl during the mission Burning Desire in Los Santos. She is at home at times between 16:00 and 06:00. Most dates will either involve food or dancing with the occasional driving date. For the food dates, simply go to the nearby bar and she should be happy, dancing dates go to the disco in Idlewood which is the only place to dance in the whole of Los Santos incidently. And for driving dates simply drive around until the meter reaches full. On any of these dates she can ask you to go driveby some people, doing so can be the whole date if you can't be bothered with the primary objective of the date, but you can still go to the other thing as long as she doesn't tell you to go home. There's little point turning down her invites for coffee at the end of most dates once you've got her percentage high enough. At 50% she'll give you the keys to the car out front, though it will only unlock once it has respawned. Then once you finally reach 100% with her, you'll unlock the Special outfit, the Pimp Suit. Just great for Pimping in. ------------------ | Helena Wankstein | ------------------ Nice name. You'll find her in Blueberry, Red County, from 08:00 - 12:00 and 16:00 - 06:00. This one has her preferences. You'll need very little fat and about a quarter muscle in order to start dating her. ____________ ________________________________________________________________| | |________________________________________________________________| 4 - Tags | |____________| There are 100 of these tags to spray over in Los Santos. You'll need a spray can in order to cover them. 1000 'ammo' for the spraycan covers around about 20 tags, so I reccommend getting 5000 ammo total if you are going to do all 100 in one go. These Tags are numbered according to my map on GameFAQs.com, the numbering is different from the Brady Games guide so most other maps will be useless if you're following by numbers. I renumbered the Tags as I felt that the way it was previously was not suited to going about them in order efficiently, thus I have tried to make it easier to follow and collect without going from one side of the city to the other and then back again. Introduced in the mission 'Tagging up the Turf' you should already have the first six tags completed as they are a requirement of that mission. I'm not sure whether the game allows you to spray over tags before this mission, so I'll just start with the six initial ones and then go on to the others. Tag 001/100 - Idlewood This first tag isn't even sprayed by you, Sweet during the mission Tagging up the Turf will spray it for you. Found on the side of the fourth bridge west of CJ's house. Tag 002/100 - Idlewood This is the actual first tag that you'll spray. It's found on the front of a small blue house opposite the first tag. Tag 003/100 - Idlewood From that second tag, head through to the back of the blue house and jump over the wall into an alleyway. Just north of you and on the east-side of the alley is this tag. Tag 004/100 - East Los Santos From CJ's house, follow Grove Street along until you get to a bridge going north that you can go straight over. After the next street to the right is a large red building with a large painting of a woman on it. The tag is in the bottom corner. Tag 005/100 - East Los Santos Just north of this building is another alleyway and about halfway down it and on the north wall is this tag. Tag 006/100 - East Los Santos From the previous tag, head southeast a little and get up onto the roof of the building at the end of the street, the tag is found up on the roof on a wall facing the road and the large open space of pavement. And so ends the set of tags that you get within the mission Tagging up the Turf. I'll now start the numbering from the northeast corner of the map and work my way around in some sort of sensible pattern. Remember to bring with you enough spray paint to go around. Try to do them in order as otherwise you'll most likely forget which ones you have and haven't done and whatnot. Tag 007/100 - Las Colinas This tag is found in the most north-east block of Los Santos. Right up there. Go up the slope here in front of a large building with a few large supports outside, the tag is orange, Los Santos Vagos, and is on the wall next to the middle entrance. Tag 008/100 - East Beach Head south from the previous tag by one block, over a bridge, again this tag is orange and it's found on the house facing north. Incidently, the other house here is the one you invaded in Ryder's mission 'Home Invasion'. Tag 009/100 - East Beach Head south down the street a little further until you reach a set of slanted houses with the name East Pacific on the front. Head up onto the roof of this building and you'll find the Vagos tag in the middle on a wall facing south. Tag 010/100 - East Beach Now go down south and up round to just west of tag number eight, here, at the very top of an almost sheer cliff, on the back of a building is the tenth tag. It's a Vagos tag again. There's an armour pickup right next to it too. Tag 011/100 - East Beach Head straight down south the road just to the west of tag ten and around halfway down the next block, on the east side of the road, is the tag. It's up some stairs in front of a brown looking appartment building, number 2026. It's still a Vagos tag. Tag 012/100 - East Beach South from eleven again and take the first road to the east. In the middle of this road, on the north side is a multi-storey carpark, and just inside the entrance is this Vagos tag. Tag 013/100 - East Beach From twelve, head directly south, go through the alley there by the hedge and continue through until you get into a large open carparking space. Carry on a little further and in the south-west corner is the Vagos tag you're looking for. Tag 014/100 - East Beach Straight back out the way you went in to number thirteen and head west, then go along the curved road still going west. About halfway along this road is the tag, it's on the westside of the road. Tag 015/100 - Los Flores Carry on along this curved road and then head north at the end of it. Go into the first alleyway on the westside and follow it south. In the end area of this it's found on a wall facing south. Tag 016/100 - East Los Santos Up back to the entrance of this area again, but instead of going back out to the east, go to the west then head up this road. Right on the end of this road, on the eastside, is this tag. Tag 017/100 - Los Flores Head up north of here and right up to the street after the one just by tag sixteen. Go into the housing place just on the east and at the north end of the middle building is the tag. Another Vagos one. Tag 018/100 - East Los Santos Go north and jump down to a large fast road and almost directly north of tag seventeen you will find this one. Situated right at the bottom of a set of stairs leading up. Tis a Vagos tag. Tag 019/100 - Las Colinas Go up the stairs that tag eighteen was on and round into the area just north of it. On the south wall of the second building from the north is where you'll find this Vagos tag. Tag 020/100 - East Los Santos Head back to the street with tag number sixteen on and go in the alleyway on the westside of it. There are two tags in here, I've numbered the south one as number twenty. This one is a blue Ballas tag. Tag 021/100 - East Los Santos And the north one as twenty-one. This one is the Vagos one. Tag 022/100 - East Los Santos From those two, head out to the west and go south down the road until you reach the end of it. Go down the steps there and on the inside of the arch directly south of you is a blue Ballas tag. Tag 023/100 - East Los Santos Go through the 'carwash' next to you and go south once you get to the road. Pass the road on the left and then go into the first entrance on the left after it. On the wall of the building there, behind a grey metal fence is this Ballas tag. Tag 024/100 - Ganton From CJ's house, head west along the road and at the very first bridge that you get to, the one that goes over the street, on the westside of it, is the blue tag you're looking for. Tag 025/100 - Ganton Head further west down CJ's street until you get to Binco. Go behind it and along the alleyway until you get to the end of a blue building that meets a metal fence. Right there is the very faint purple Ballas tag. Right then, that's a quarter of the tags completed. Just seventy-five to go and you'll earn yourself a rather worthless set of prizes! Yippee! Tag 026/100 - Willowfield Go to the Cluckin' Bell south of CJ's house. This tag is found on the south wall of it. Tis a purple Rollin Heights Ballas tag. Tag 027/100 - Willowfield Head south from the Cluckin' Bell and take the second road on the left with the 98c store on the corner. Just next to it on the east going street is the purple Ballas tag. Tag 028/100 - Willowfield Head north again and take the road to the right (east), continue down this until you get to a short brown building with a carpark out front. The Ballas tag is right in the middle on the front. Tag 029/100 - East Beach Head out to the large arena east of where CJ lives. On the south-east side of it is this tag. Tis an orange Vagos tag. Tag 030/100 - Playa Del Seville Head out to the beach east of the arena and down past the large blockage thing. On the wall close to this is a Seville Blvd Families tag, tis a faint green difficult to see from a distance. Tag 031/100 - Playa Del Seville Another Seville tag, this time head east back onto the road just south of the arena and on the north-facing wall of the building on the soutside is the tag in question. Tag 032/100 - Playa Del Seville Down the road on the east-side again, just a very short way though. Right after the second driveway is the tag on the wall directly facing onto the street. Tag 033/100 - Playa Del Seville And continue down the road further, take the first right (west) and then as you reach a yellow building on the right go down the alley next to it and out onto a basketball court. On the wall right behind the basket is the very faint Seville tag. Tag 034/100 - Willowfield Head west out of here, then up north and continue again past the road with the mod shop at the end. Right next to the opening of a large electricity place, is the purple Ballas tag. Tag 035/100 - Ocean Docks Head south from here again and straight down all the way to the freeway, right on the corner of the block at the end here is an orange Vagos tag. Tag 036/100 - Ocean Docks North again and take the first left. Around about in the middle of the street, head down into the storm drain below you. On one of the struts holding the road above is this tag. Blue for Ballas. Tag 037/100 - Ocean Docks Head back up to the top of the 'bridge' above you and continue along west, pass one exit south and then on the next one follow it. You should be on the road that crosses over some water now. At the first strut of the bridge get out and the tag is on the bottom, but just above the road. 'Tis Ballas. Tag 038/100 - Ocean Docks Head down onto the freeway below and carry on to the west until you reach a large blue building. Right on the corner here is an orange Varrio tag. Tag 039/100 - Ocean Docks Take the road heading south-east and just before it turns into a bridge over the water, simply turn off to the right. Follow this road along now until you can see several large crates on the lefthand side, here head down some rather steep steps. Go past one short building and you'll find a load of large crates. On the far side of these crates nearest the water is where the tag is to be found. Tag 040/100 - Willowfield Head back to where you found tag 38 and go on over the railway tracks nearby and continue along the road until you get to the next turnoff. You should be able to see the orange Varrio tag on the short brown building straight away. Tis behind a set of barbed wire fencing too. Tag 041/100 - Willowfield Head directly west of tag thirty-nine and into a train yard. Go into the storm drain thingy and on the far side is the purple Ballas tag you need to spray. Tag 042/100 - El Corona Get out of the storm drain and head south onto the road there. Carry on along here to the end of the road, heading west, and turn left when you get to the end. The pinkish and green building which just happens to be Nude & Shop is where you will find the orange tag, it's on the south wall. Tag 043/100 - El Corona Head west along the road below you until you reach the first turn to the right. Ignore the turn and continue along a very short way. As the wall on your right turns into fencing, the purple Ballas tag is right there, on the fence bit. Tag 044/100 - El Corona Now take the 'right' as previously mentioned and go just past the next turn to the left (west). The first house on your left after that road is the one you want. The Varios tag is on the east wall. Tag 045/100 - El Corona Continue north along the road and take the right here. All the way to the end and take the road to the left. However, the building right on the corner here, a Bar, is where the tag is to be located. It's an orange Varios tag against an orange backing so it's slightly difficult to see unless you're looking for it. It's on the east wall of the Bar. Tag 046/100 - El Corona Back along the previous road and take the first of the two 'dead-ends' and into a set of houses. On the one directly north of the road, and to the right a bit, is the tag. It's orange and above the door, you can reach it from the ground so don't worry. Tag 047/100 - Willowfield Up and over, or through, the fence just north of you now. Get out onto the road and follow it east. Right at the end is the place you want to be. There's sort of a large chunk out of the building on the corner, ie a place to park, on the south-facing wall in the carpark is the very light purple Ballas tag. It's quite difficult to see unless you're close to it. Tag 048/100 - El Corona Now back west along the road again right to the end. Carry on a bit north until you get to a Liquor Mart which itself is just south of a 69c store. On the south wall of the Liquor Mart is the slightly difficult to see Varios tag. Tag 049/100 - Idlewood Just north of here again. Head down into the storm drain and on the north side of one of the struts is the purple tag. Tag 050/100 - Idlewood Get out of the storm drain and head north again. Take the first left and continue along until you get to a carwash/petrol station on the right. Directly above the entrance to the carwash is the tag, it's on the roof so you'll need to jump up onto the rim of the shop and then just saunter over to the carwash sign on which the tag is located. Note that this is also the location for an almost guaranteed spawn spot of the Broadway which is used for Pimping. Halfway done now. Only 50 to go, doesn't that just make you feel happy? Ah well, on we go. Tag 051/100 - Idlewood Head west and take the first turning to the south. Then the first left. Just over halfway along this road, on the northside, is the purple tag you want to be getting. It's found on a darker window then the rest of the wall, it's the last one in the line of them I believe. Tag 052/100 - Idlewood Head east along the road again and take the left at the end. The first right here and then when you reach the end before the left turn, go right and into a carpark space. The Ballas tag is on the south facing wall of the building here. Tag 053/100 - Little Mexico Back up onto the road north of you again, head west all the way until you get to the end where a large beige building is infront of you. Take the road just north of that building and head down it as far as just past the alleyway on the left. Right there is the orange Varrio tag. Tag 054/100 - Little Mexico Head back east along the road again and just before the road ends go into the side of a building there, a large open area with a light brown floor. The Varrio tag is on the corner of the building here, the north-east corner. Tag 055/100 - Idlewood Onto the road heading north that's just east of you, and travel along until you can see a disco, Alhambra, with a yellow marker out front on the right. Head along behind the hedge there and near the end you'll find the Front Yard Ballas tag. Tag 056/100 - Little Mexico Out from behind the bushes now, and take the first road left when you go north on the road next to you. Just before the first turn to the south on this road is the Varrio tag on the corner of a building. Tag 057/100 - Idlewood Head east again and when the road turns to the south, head off to the left and into a housing complex. Behind the first tower here is the tag, the north-side of it. Tag 058/100 - Idlewood Head out onto the road east of the road you entered on, and take the second left just before a bridge overhead. Inside the middle of the second-to-last building is the Ballas tag. Just north of it you'll be able to see a Two Player Icon behind a fence. Tag 059/100 - Jefferson Head south back onto the road again and then east, take the next left and continue along this road until you get to the end of the bridge. Just past there is a fence, on the north side of the house after the house with the large fencing in front of is where the tag is, if you get what I mean. Tag 060/100 - Jefferson Head north along the road again to the end where you should take the left. Take the second of the lefts right next to each other and go into the bush filled area in the corner. The tag is hidden amonst the bushes, yet also on the wall, it's in a alcove on the bit facing south. Tag 061/100 - Jefferson Back up onto the road again and head east. Just past the entrance to the road where Tag 58 was, is a large Triangular shaped building, a church, and in the front (according to where you are) section of it is the Rollin' Heights Ballas purple tag. Tag 062/100 - East Los Santos Head back onto the road south of you and continue along to the east again. Just north of the metal tower pyramid things, Watts Towers, and behind a Liqour store is the purple Ballas tag you're looking for. Tag 063/100 - East Los Santos Head onto the road just east of Tag 61 and head north, just past the first turn to the left go into an entrance leading into an underground carpark. Over on the otherside is the purple tag you want, despite it being very dark in here, the tag shows up well from a distance. Tag 064/100 - Jefferson Head out of the carpark the same way you came in, then go north to the end of the road. Take the left way and when you see a large orangey/pink building, the Jefferson Motel, and head round the back of it. Underneath the stairs leading up to the roof is the Rollin' Heights Ballas tag. Tag 065/100 - Jefferson Head east back onto the road again and go to the block south-west of the current one. A short way into the alleyway on this block is the purple tag, no need to fence hop, it's just right there in the alleyway. Tag 066/100 - Jefferson In the block north of the current one, head to the east side and go behind the south row of buildings. At the end there is a tag to spray. Tag 067/100 - Las Colinas Head east of the alleyway and then north along the road right to the end. Head up the bricked path/alleyway directly ahead of you. About halfway in, you should find the tag on your right. Tag 068/100 - Las Colinas Continue along the alley and out through to the next road. Turn right onto it and after a very short distance turn to the left where you should the tag at the bottom of a slopecase. Tag 069/100 - Las Colinas Back onto the road and continue east until you reach a set of railway tracks going across the street. Follow them into the tunnel right next to them and on the lefthand side of the entrance is a tag. Tag 070/100 - Las Colinas Out of the tunnel and head west. Take the first turning north and then at the end of the steep road, go right. Head down this road until you get to the last large house on the right, it's a white house. Go around the back and on the wall you should discover this tag. Tag 071/100 - Las Colinas Now back onto the road and follow it along west now. Right towards the end before it goes underneath the freeway, go in the gap between the last house and the second-to-last house. The tag is to be found in that location. Tag 072/100 - Mulholland Intersection Head down the road and instead of following it under the bridge, go up the dirt hill onto the freeway. Follow the middle path along until just after a tree on the right where you should turn off and spray the tag hiding very close to it. Tag 073/100 - Glen Park Go back down to the road you were on previously and continue down the road and underneath the freeway to take the first right after it. Inside what is the third of four yellow buildings with an opening in the front, is the tag you want to be a spraying. Tag 074/100 - Glen Park Head to the large park area south of the current block and on the north side underneath the bridge is this very tag, tis a purple Ballas tag if you must know. Tag 075/100 - Glen Park Up onto the road above and follow it south. Straight ahead at the end is a carpark in front of some shops, and to the righthand side is an alley, and inside that alley is the tag. Ahh, three quarters of them are done. Doesn't that just feel good? Only another 25 to go now. And as if by pure coincidence this is also just about the end of the close togehter tags, the rest are spread out a lot and so will require more detailed descriptions, none of which are likely to make sense to a few of you so the map is going to be very useful for the rest of this collection though I really would suggest that you should have used it for the previous 75 too if you didn't. Tag 076/100 - Glen Park Continue through the rest of the alleway right to the street on the other side. Head into the skatepark dead ahead and go to the north-east corner where you will find the tag. Tag 077/100 - Downtown Los Santos Head west out of the skatepark again and head straight into the large pinky building that's directly ahead of the end of the road. Make your way through the open area until you get to where the red-looking tag is found. Tag 078/100 - Downtown Los Santos Go along further to the west now and out onto the road there. Follow this road north until just before it starts to slope upwards at a much steeper rate. Go off onto the pavement here on the left and just behind the end beige part of the building is the purple tag. Tag 079/100 - Downtown Los Santos Back onto the road again and go up the slope this time, turn left at the top. Continue along here until just before the first turnoff to the south. Head into the large-ish open area on the left and on the base of the stripey building is where you'll find the tag in question. Tag 080/100 - Mulholland Intersection North onto the road again and take the road north just a little west along the road. Take the right at the end and follow the curve a little bit before going into a patterned entrance to a large carpark benath the intersection. Right near the entrance and just next to some green containers is this Ballas tag. Tag 081/100 - Temple Get back onto the road and head west quite a distance, until you get to the block with Transfender on. On the east-side of said block, and on the orange wall is where the tag is to be found. Tag 082/100 - Vinewood Head north to get to the end of this road and then head west, just the one block though. On the building on the corner of the block on the west-side of the road heading south here is the deep purple Ballas tag, it's on the north- side of said building. Tag 083/100 - Market Head south down the road just next to you to the end, then take the road to the left and continue along until reaching a second right. On the corner here is where you'll be needing to look for this tag. Tag 084/100 - Market Head south and then right at the first turning. Go right to the end and turn left but don't go very far. The building on the corner of the block here is where the tag is located. Howeverm to get the tag you need to go up a set of stairs on the west-side of the building and then follow the path around the corner to where the tag is located at the end. Tag 085/100 - Market Head east one block and take the first road south, then go off to the left at the end. When you reach a larger road, turn right and follow it a short way. On your right should be a reasonably tall white and green 'tower' on stilts, on the bottom north-side of it is where the tag is currently found. Tag 086/100 - Pershing Square Continue down the road and take the first left, then on this road take the second right. Continue along to the end of the block, the tag is located on the south wall of the police station here on your left. Tag 087/100 - Commerce Head west along the road a little, and just past the large entrance to what is City Hall, and just behind a plot of plants. Tag 088/100 - Commerce Continue west along the road a bit further, and right before the crossroads, on the righthand side you should see the orange tag on the brick wall with a couple of Discharger posters on. Ta 089/100 - Verona Beach Head straight across the crossroads as mentioned prior, and when you see them, head up the stairs in front of a building on your right. Head up round to the right and continue around until you reach the tag which is very faint. Tag 090/100 - Market Back down off the stairs again and head west to the end of the road. Turn right here and continue along and take the second left. Continue along until you get to a large Palm tree on the right. Stop there and move a car into position so that you can jump up onto the ledge behind the Palm tree. Tag 091/100 - Marina Jump back down and onto the road just south of you. Head west along it all the way to the end and go down the sort of pavement sort of street that is directly in front of you, it's marked on the map as a road though is acutally more of a large alleyway. Once you get to the end, continue forwards and through the gap almost directly ahead. Go down to the water here and on the wall at the bottom right next to the small wharf is where you'll find this very tag. Tag 092/100 - Rodeo Head up and to the block east of the one you're on. In the middle of it, just beneath a large RANCH sign is where you'll find the purple Ballas tag. Tag 093/100 - Rodeo Stay in this alleyplace and go north along it out onto the street there. Head towards the clothes shop icon (Pro-Laps) and carry on past it all the way to the very end of the road. Directly ahead, on the orange building, is the tag, it's kind of on the side of the front of the Vinyl Countdown, but it's basically right on the street facing west. Tag 094/100 - Santa Maria Beach Turn around and head back down the road you just used and turn right straight away. Follow this road around all the way going round the bend to go east and then take the first right. Follow this road all the way to the end of the pier. Head left at the end and go behind the building directly south of the ferris wheel. Jump up onto the back of it to where the tag is, although you could use the stairs... Tag 095/100 - Santa Maria Beach All the way back along the road on the pier again and take the road to the right when you get to the end, followed by the next right, which is followed by another right. Go along here and take the first left, when it turns, simply go to the left again off the road. The tag is to be found on the wall right here. Tag 096/100 - Marina Just go north a bit onto the main road here and head east along it. Continue along until just before the next pier on your map. On the corner of a building right on the large gap for the pier is where this tag is located. Tag 097/100 - Verona Beach Continue along the road east until it curves southwards. Right on the corner of the first left as the road goes south is the tag number ninety-seven. Tag 098/100 - Verdant Bluffs Head east along the road now until you get to the first road to the right, take it all the way up it. Make your way up the steps at the end and then go around to the righthand side of the building up there. Go up the slope and on the dome thing nearest you is where you will find this very tag. Tag 099/100 - Los Santos International Head off over the grass south-east towards the airport. Continue down to the freeway and a large carpark for the airport. Follow the roads into the centre of said airport and into the rectangle road area. On the first building there is this tag, it's on the south-east end of it. Tag 100/100 - Los Santos International Head back out and take a left at the roundabout and take a right. Follow this road around all the way and continue along the freeway when you join it. As the freeway slopes down to go underground, go to the righthand side of the road and up the slope next to the fence but still on the freeway side of the fence. At the end of this slope is the tag, it's a little over the freeway but you can reach it easily. Ahh. Listen to that music, you've done it. All tags completed. While it won't say it onscreen, if you go to the Brief section of the Pause Menu it tells you what you got. 'You tagged the city! Your gang has had an upgrade! Weapons delivered to CJ's house in Los Santos!' Yep, in the kitchen of CJ's house are four weapon pickups. Tec-9, Molotovs, Sawn-off Shotgun and an AK-47. _________________ | |___________________________________________________________ | 5 - Snapshots |___________________________________________________________| |_________________| Almost introduced in the mission 'Photo Opportunity' there are 50 Snapshots to be taken around the city of San Fierro. Each one requires the camera to be used in order to collect. By no means are any of them obvious if you don't know what you're looking for. Basically when you look through the camera at where you need to take a photo of, you need to see a spinning pink icon with a camera on it floating there. This is what is needed a photo of. Zoom in on it as close as you possibly can and press the Circle button in order to take a photo of it that the game registers as a Snapshot. It will come up on screen if you're successful and the spinning icon will vanish. While they are only visible as icons when you're looking at them through a camera, they do give off a light at night if you're quite close to them in order to give you a hint as to where they are if you aren't using a guide or map, being innocent and all. As there are 50 Snapshots to take, take at least 50 film for your camera probably more as you may miss them occasionally. Several locations have a camera spawn point nearby which is a major hint as to the locations. Currently there is no map on GameFAQs, but I am in the process of finalising one which you can find in its incomplete form on http://www.darkGTA.tk it is only not finished in the sense that some of the markers don't have pointers on but all the ones covered in this guide should be accurate. Also note that the numbers given in this guide will match only my map as I've renumbered them for ease of collection for you, as the previous number order, in the official guide, was very annoying to collect in order therefore causing mistakes if people decided to go about them in an easier fashion then from one end of San Fierro to the other and back. On with those Snapshots eh? Snapshot 01/50 - Red County For San Fierro's collecables it's not exactly in San Fierro. On the first bridge east of the Easter Bay Airport on your map, you should find this snapshot right in the middle of the bridge. Snapshot 02/50 - Easter Bay Airport This second one is found on the large sign out the front of Easter Bay Airport. The sign has a fighter plane on it. Snapshot 03/50 - Easter Bay Airport Head into the actual airfield of the airport either through the gates if you have a Pilot's License or over the gates if you don't, the gates are directly ahead on the road straight underneath the sign as mentioned before. Go through the right tunnel and out onto the main airfield. Head north from there and go right up to the edge of the airport but don't fall off. On your map you should see two large white squares, and on the south-east side of them is where you'll find the snapshot. Inbetween the end two canisters you'll find there. Also the location of a homing rocket launcher. Snapshot 04/50 - Easter Bay Airport Head north round the two white buildings and towards the large tower. Right on top of the tallest point on that tower is where you need to take the photo of. Snapshot 05/50 - Foster Valley Head out of the airport again and straight down through and under the freeway above. Take the first left after the railway tracks, follow it along until you get to the crossroads. Here stop, get out, get your camera out and aim above the building just in front on the left. Quite high up in the air is where the icon is. Snapshot 06/50 - Foster Valley Head right at these crossroads and continue along the road and go up on the hill at the end to the road after the gap. Turn and go left a short way before stopping. Aim at the five towers to the east and the second one from the north is where you want to be looking. Directly above it is the location, but you need to be quite close in order for it to appear properly. Walk as close as you can whilst still staying high up on the cliff, it shouldn't be too far down before you can see it. Snapshot 07/50 - Missionary Hill From your current position overlooking the previous snapshot, turn around and head north along the road, take the first left which you should follow round before taking the next left right at the top. Head into the carpark and stop. Get out and aim your camera at the large red tower structure just south of you. Just off to the righthand side of it quite high up is where you'll find the snapshot spinning. Snapshot 08/50 - San Fierro Head back out of the carpark and take the road to the left continuing on along it. Follow it all the way down until it meets up with the freeway, then follow the freeway along to the left now. Just before the bridge, get out of your vehicle and aim the camera way up into the air. The icon is located high up and before the bridge, not far before but it's not on the bridge either. Snapshot 09/50 - Avispa Country Club Turn around and head back down the freeway to where you got onto it. Take the left there and take the first right. Aim your camera up at the top of the front of the Country Club which is where the icon sits. Snapshot 10/50 - Avispa Country Club A quick turn-around and head onto the nearby tennis courts. The icon is found floating just above the north-east court. Sorry, that's all I've done so far. I'll do more later. Cheers. __________________ __________________________________________________________| | |__________________________________________________________| 6 - Horseshoes | |__________________| There is no introduction to these, they're just there. Each Horseshoe increases your Luck by 20 points to a total of 1000, which helps you with your gambling, ie it's rigged! There are 50 Horseshoes in total dotted around Las Venturas. No special items required for collecting these as were needed for the Tags and Snapshots. Though it is easier if you have a certain mode of transport that a certain character helped you get certainly. I don't want to spoil it if you haven't done it. 'Tis very useful for getting around Las Venturas. Just walk through the floating horseshoes to collect. There is a map that corresponds to the numbers below on my website http://www.darkgta.tk so check it out if you need it, which I highly recommend. Note that the numbers in this guide and map do not correspond to any other guides or maps due to the fact that the official one was once again rediculous at numbering them in an orderly fashion. _______________ | |_____________________________________________________________ | 7 - Oysters |_____________________________________________________________| |_______________| Much like the Horseshoes except that you can get them right from the word go. No special equipment is needed, but having high lung capacity and using a boat or helicopter that can float on water (Sea Sparrow or Leviathon) is very useful unless you feel like swimming the entire way round San Andreas. Found only in the water, just swim through the spinning white oysters to get them. There are only 50 of them around so be thankful there aren't more. Pretty much impossible to get them all by accident, though of course you could go out on hunts for the oysters by yourself if you are the type that doesn't like doing things straight from a guide, though why would you be reading this? Stop it! And on with those Oysters. Pretty difficult to give very specific directions with these so I advise using the map that I have map which you can currently only find on http://www.darkgta.tk so check it out. While the official numbering was better for the oysters, it wasn't perfect so I once again renumbered them all. ____________________________ ________________________________________________| | |________________________________________________| 8 - Challenges and Races | |____________________________| ----- | BMX | ----- I highly recommend having around about full biking skill for this one as being able to jump high is a must. Found in the BMX/Skate park in Glen Park, you need to climb aboard a BMX near the top righthand halfpipe. You'll almost straight away be running out of time so go for the easy on the ground checkpoints for plenty of extra time. Most of the checkpoints simply require either cycling through or jumping up to. If you don't have the height to jump to some of them, there is a slight 'glitch' which allows you to jump higher then you should be able to. As you release the L1, press O as if you were firing your SMG type gun (you need a SMG/Mini SMG/Tec-9 to do this) and if you time it right your jump will be boosted a bit. While of course this is cheating, it's still in the game and doesn't register as a cheat. So, if you want a guilt free conscience, feel free to ignore the glitch and train up to full biking skill in order to jump high enough. ---------- | Lowrider | ---------- Found in exactly the same place as you did in the 'Cesar Vialpando' mission. You can wager up to $1000 per time. You will need a lowrider with hydraulics too you know. Talk to the guy with the red marker in front of him out front. Just as you did in the mission, press the Right Analog stick in the direction shown on screen at the right moment as it gets into the circle in the centre. Generally your opponent will be getting scores of around 4000 points. Winning this doesn't seem to be a requirement for getting 100%, so this is an entirely optional challenge thing. You get double what you wager if you win, or you lose what you wager if you lose. When it's open, enter the red marker in Ammu-Nation to start it off. Each first round consists of a target which you will need to shoot out completely, three times in total do you need to destroy this target. Round two features the target moving towards you (3 times) while the final round has you against the other two shooters in one all against one target, get 20 points to win. You need to win each and every round in order to get to the next one, no slacking. First off is the Pistol Rounds, followed by Micro SMG, then Shotgun and finally AK-47, you need to complete all twelve rounds total in order to complete the challenge, however not all twelve are available right off, thus making the attempts only useful for leveling up your skills for free. The most difficult part is the shotgun head-to-head as the other two seem to suddenly become masters of their weapon and it's a big struggle to beat them by anything other then a point or two. Stadium Events ----------- | 8-Track | ----------- While you can techniquely get into this race whilst you're still in Los Santos, due to the high amount of driving skill required, it's unlikely you will be able to unless you have been driving a car for the entire duration of the game so far. You need a driving skill of around 40% before the stadium will open up for you. When it does, you'll be able to go inside and take part in the endurance race. For the most part all that matters is survival, twelve laps is a lot when the course is so tight and so windy as well as there being 11 other cars on the track. Your best bet is to either stay behind the group for the first seven or eight laps before pushing ahead, or getting in front as soon as possible and staying there for the whole race. The second option is usually the safest if you're not so good a driver as pushing through a group of crazy cars after several laps smashing into the walls each turn isn't really a good choice whereas by keeping ahead, you'll remove the risk of losing when you get to the end of the race. While you can get gang members to go into the race with you, they'll spawn in the middle of the starting grid rather then in your car meaning that you'll have to stop and pick them up while the other cars zoom off. They will however shoot the other cars as you go around, though whether or not they're very effective I have no idea. [ ] Blood Bowl [ ] Dirt Track [ ] Kickstart [ ] Valet Parking (Vank Hoff Hotel asset) ________________ | |____________________________________________________________ | 9 - Odd Jobs |____________________________________________________________| |________________| --------------- | Fire Fighting | --------------- The easiest way to find a Fire Truck to start this type of Odd Job is to blow up a few cars on the street, a Fire Truck should arrive shortly. Every level increases one fire to put out, once a car reaches three people, the next level will gain an extra car. This is very similar to the version found in Vice City, yet slightly different. Also, the cannon on the Fire Truck works slightly differently, it is now controlled by the camera which is controlled by the right analog stick, this can seem annoying at first as it can be difficult to see what you are trying to hit with the water jet, but you should get used to it after a few fires. Aim for the engine of the vehicles as that is where the fire is, then at the people who get out, you'll need to keep a constant flow on the people until it is declared that the fire is out. Complete Level 12 to get fireproofing, CJ will no longer be hurt by fire. The game will tell you when you get that level 12 and will automatically end the fire truck mission for you. --------- | Pimping | --------- The one and only car that you can use to activate these missions is a Broadway. Found almost 100% of the time behind a carwash in Idlewood or just around on the streets occasionally. I really don't recommend using a Broadway with hydraulics for this as it really hinders you in turning and for moving the camera around. If you've gotten Denise to 100% then I suggest wearing her gift for fun, as it certainly doesn't actually help. A pimp cane is also a useful accessory, there's one behind the Vinewood sign. Pimping is basically transporting two girls around Los Santos to different locations one at a time. Occasionally killing whomever it was that they went to meet up with. There's very little to do besides drive and so it's just really a taxi mission with a bit of killing on the side. Reach pimping level 10 (full pimping bar) and you'll be rewarded with prostitutes now paying you if you decide to 'use' them at any point in the future. Your first level is gained after dropping off the two ladies for the first time, then each pimping level is gained after each dropoff, with money being given at each pickup. There are only time limits for dropping the girls off so don't worry too much about picking them up quickly, unless of course she tells you to kill her client which does initiate a time limit in doing so, make sure to only kill the client and not the girl, you can get out for a short period of time in order to kill them but don't stay out too long, though the counter only starts going down once you actually kill them, 20 seconds is what you get to get back in. After getting the pimping level up to ten, you'll need to pick up one last girl in order to get the completion message which says; 'Pimping complete! Prostitutes will now pay YOU to have relations with them!' ----------- | Vigilante | ----------- This gets easier the further you are into the game as you get better resources and can access better vehicles to do it in. The best is the Hunter, the army helicopter as seen in Vice City, quick and agile you can complete the tweleve levels of vigilante very fast. However at the moment, you've got to get by with either motorbikes or squad cars, I suggest the squad car as it is more dureable and easier to use for drivebys which you will need to do if you're doing it the hard way. Simply catch up with the crooks and shoot them until either their car explodes or they get out, if they get out, simply shoot them again. I suggest recruiting three of the Orange Grove Families and bringing them along with you for extra help, while they generally won't attack the target, they can help you fend off the police if they start going after you. While it is great to have a lot of armour early on, I really would reccommend waiting until you have access to the Hunter unless you really enjoy tracking down criminals in the squad car. Finish the twelfth level of vigilante to reap the rewards of better armour. It means that your armour meter will go down slightly slower as you will now have 50% better when you're at max. ------ | Taxi | ------ Very simple concept here, it's been almost exactly the same since GTA3. There is a slight change to how you get paid, but it's nothing worth fretting about. Any Taxi will do for this, just go up to one in the street and hop on in. R3 to start. Pull up alongside any people with a blue marker above their heads (you can see where they are on the minimap) and take them to wherever they tell you to take them within the timelimit shown. You are now deducted cash from the tip if you crash a lot or go slow, the tip- o-meter goes down really quite fast for nearby trips but slower for longer trips. If you lose the meter completely you'll only get the basic rate. Complete 50 of these at any point (no need for them to be done all at once) and you'll get the rewards. All taxis will now have both a nitro booster and will also jump when you press the horn, not hydraulics as in other cars but still amusing despite the fact that the jump is pretty pathetic. --------- | Burglar | --------- These are carried out between 20:00 and 06:00 in the Boxville specified for each of the three cities. The Los Santos Boxville is found directly south of Los Santos gym which is just along your road. Each Boxville can be taken away from its spawn location and still be used by pressing R3 wherever you are in the city, use this in order to reduce wasted time getting to good houses, though this is only a useful thing to do if it's not yet 20:00 as otherwise it's just wasted the same. All robberies involve going up to houses with a yellow marker out front, going inside, creeping about and picking up various junk you find inside. There isn't really much variety in what you can steal, mostly TVs and Videos. You can usually find the occupants sleeping in their houses but you might find that they are still awake, take care of any you find with a silenced 9mm as otherwise you might wake up any others in the house. Once the meter has gone you can go around freely, but it's usually quicker to just creep around anyway. At the end of each night of burglaries, you will need to take your stuff to the local dropoff, this is timed even if the sun has come up already. Note that you do NOT need to do any burglaries, aside from in the mission, to get 100%. ----------- | Paramedic | ----------- Best done in the countryside as it reduces travel time and risk of other cars. The locations are: Angel Pines, Montgomery, Fort Carson and El Quebrados. I really don't suggest doing this in any of the three cities as they are way too restrictive about where you can go and they spread out a lot further. Simply find an ambulance by going up to the hospital and seeing if there's one parked there. If not, drive away and come back again. If it still won't appear, kill a few people in order to entice one along. R3 it to begin. Each level of Paramedic increases a passenger required to bring back, all the way up to a total of tweleve on the last level. Since your ambulance can only carry three at a time, you need to plan your route before you start off. As soon as the people appear on the radar, go to the pause menu and see exactly where each one is. Plan a route that will minimise the number of visits to each place in order to get them all in time. Note that this whole thing can take quite a while so make sure to eat beforehand as getting out of the ambulance mid-mission will fail it. Completing to level 12 will reward you with boosted health, expanding your on- screen health bar. Freight Exports Quarry Trucking ----------------------------- | Courier - Roboi's Food Mart | ----------------------------- Found in the Commerce part of town, just west of City Hall. The vehicle of choice here is a BMX which is slow if you're not constantly pedalling all the time. It's found right outside the front of the Food Mart. The first of the three courier missions, this will allow you to start earning money from a business, sort of like a mix between the Pizza Boy missions from Vice City and the assets. As soon as you get on the BMX the mission will start. Your objective is to throw a delivery through several coronas before the time runs out. Each level increases the number of deliveries by one up to a maximum of seven (Level 4) where upon winning you will own Roboi's Food Mart and be able to pickup up to $2000 at a time. Each completion of a level you'll be given some money based on how you performed and so you need to go back to the Food Mart each time. If you miss the target, either ride over the item to pick it up again or just throw another one through. I recommend stopping by each corona as it's very difficult to time it right for speeding past, difficult, not impossible as I'm sure many of you will be able to speed right on past shoot once and forget about it. ___________________ _________________________________________________________| | |_________________________________________________________| 10 - Properties | |___________________| ________________________ | |____________________________________________________ | 11 - Version History |____________________________________________________| |________________________| Version 0.1 - 3/11/04 Finally got started on the guide after completing San Andreas to the full 100%.
